The North West District Council (NWDC) will host a Back to School event at Sakaomba farm in Maun on Saturday, November 22.

The NWDC public relations officer, Ethel Koma said the proceeds from the back to school event will be for the construction of a two-and-a- half house for a needy person in Maun.

She implored Maun community to rally behind NWDC, noting that people in school uniform will pay P30 while those wearing ordinary clothes will pay P50 and the event will be at 2pm until 6am the next day.

Various artistes and DJs in the likes of DJ Obza, DJ Maximun, DJ Shampino, Radijo, Kasi Rosse, Stiga Sola, Diphuti traditional dance are expected to entertain the audience.

The sponsors of the event include companies and individuals such as Maun Lodge, Mr John Sakaomba, Balanced Security, Trekkers Nite Club, Botswana Meat Commission, Maduo Lodge, Ngami District Health Management Team, Ngamiland district commissioner and the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture.  ENDS
