Ha Ke Tsamaya hit shelves

For the love of gospel music and growing up in a church environment, Lebogang Rantsho has released a gospel album titled Ha ke Tsamaya.
The 20-year-old Rantsho, who was born and raised in Gaborone, said she started singing at an early age in church, particularly because she was born and raised in a Christian home, where she had known God to be her priority in life.
“The Bible in proverbs says ‘train a child in the way they should go and they shall remember it all their life’, I guess that contributed to my great passion for ministry; hence doing gospel music,” she said in an interview.
Ha ke Tsamaya contains six melodious songs which include: Mohau, Ke ena Jeso, Re tla buswa ke mang, Ha ke tloga, Wa tshwanelwa and Mambo.
The young artiste follows the likes of Vusi Mtokufa, Lyon Konkonyane and Darle Zschech who inspired her to have come up with a full package of a gospel album.
“I have always been a local gospel fanatic, I wished my album could have been released on my birthday on September 12 but it came a day after my Baptism day at church on September 16 which made me happy anyway,” she said.
She indicated that it is amazing how her mother told her that she used to sing herself to bed before she even started speaking fluently, but as she grew up she started singing in church at the age of 11, and she continues to sing with the youth Praise and Worship at Assemblies of God today.
Much to her satisfaction, the songs in her album are currently dominating the air waves of local stations.
“My whole inspiration has solely been by God, everything I do has always revolved around Him,” she said, adding that in the future she wants to see herself as an independent woman who is driven to help others make Jesus president of their homes where God is the liberty and peace reigns.
The young artiste divides her music time with her studies as she is a student at Botswana Accountancy College doing her second year in BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance and hopes to become a Forensic Auditor if all goes as planned.
“Remember Jeremiah 29:11 tells us that God holds the master plan of our lives in His hands,” she said.
She indicated that it is great when well established artistes come out to give support to her, such as gospel artiste Prince Maroku who is helping her to promote and market her album.
She cannot forget her mother and pillar of hope Mary Rantsho who also helps with selling and marketing the album.
The young star has performed at many church events and weddings and has other events lined up to perform at.
Lebogang has urged aspiring artistes to work hard, to be determined and to trust in God as that can help in life, adding that no matter how many critics they have they should that as a fuel to their fire.
“Never lose hope, life is all about learning but be careful not to remain at the receiving end, share and give what God has blessed you with, respect yourself and respect others; that way you can achieve greatly,” she said. ENDS
