Mujangi trial set for January 26

Magistrate Dumisani Basupi of Francistown has set January 26 as the trial date for a case in which Atlholang 'Two Metre' Mujangi is facing a charge of malicious damage to property.
It is alleged that in April 2012, Mujangi burnt a vehicle in Francistown. In a brief appearance in court recently, the state counsel, Ms Tawana Kapongo said they intended to call three witnesses. Mr Kabelo Gaonyadiwe of KK Sechele Attorneys represents Mujangi.
In another case, Principal Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu remanded four murder accused persons in custody until November 18 when they will come for the next mention.
The four accused persons who were arraigned before court are Batisani Nthabaye, Kesegofetse Bantu, Mmasepatela Nthebolang, Goitsemodimo Peter and a minor. They are facing one count of murder. The facts of the case were that the alleged murder took place at Shashe Mooke lands on November 1.
Sub Inspector Evelyn Chalebgwa who appeared for the state pleaded with the court to remand the four accused persons in custody, while the minor was put under the custody of his parents because investigations are still at an early stage. ENDS
