Chief Magistrate Gaedupe Makgato of Francistown has confirmed February 9-13, 2015 as trial dates for the matter in which 16 residents of Shashe Mooke village are facing three counts of inciting violence, causing grievous bodily harm and malicious damage to property.
The accused allegedly incited violence and injured Kgosi David Adam leaving him with a fractured finger on September 29, 2013 in Shashe Mooke.
Briefly appearing before court on November 4, Mr Makgato said the matter would only proceed in February because the December 15-18 dates were no longer suitable for the court.
The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent Lapolagang Moatshe pleaded with the court to consider increasing the number of trial dates since the state intended to call a lot of witnesses. Mr Makgato ruled that the dates of continuity will be set in February when trial commences.
