DSTV enthusiasts are set to get the ultimate home television entertainment with the launch of BoxOffice service.
Speaking at the official launch of the BoxOffice, general manager of MultiChoice Botswana, Billy Sekgororoane said the service would allow subscribers to rent and watch the latest blockbuster movies in the comfort of their homes.
“DSTV subscribers can rent and keep movies for up to 48 hours for a minimal fee of P22 per movie and movie categories vary from comedy, drama, family movies, horror, fantasy and many more,” he said.
He said MultiChoice had been operational in Botswana for 21 years and it had always strived to provide the best of entertainment to its customers. “And with the all new Explora decoder, we are taking on demand video to a whole new level, by offering subscribers an experience that mimics the internet, but on a decoder and without the high data bills,” he said.
Sekgororoane said subscribers would need to register for the service at the branch offices and have an account that would be solely for renting movies and in no way connected to subscriptions.
Basadi Masimolole, marketing executive of MultiChoice Botswana said with BoxOffice, DSTV compact, Compact Plus and Premium subscribers with an active PVR subscription and a compatible HD PVR or Explora could easily sign up.
“DSTV services like BoxOffice form part of a bigger MultiChoice strategy to use cutting edge technological innovation to helping people enjoy some of the best entertainment available at a time convenient to them,” she said. ends
