22 Sep 2014

The air was filled with fun and entertainment as Gaborone-based artistes invaded Orapa on September 19 in the name of charity.

The likes of T.H.A.B.O aka Thabo Bolokwe, Lizibo Simon, Zeus aka Game Bantsi, Mosako , La Timmy and local artiste Smar , among others took turns on the stage at Duck n’ Scrum club to raise funds for the socio-economic benefit of the people of Boteti.

The charity festival, dubbed General Managers’ Charity Concert, has now become an annual feat to augment the money raised during the general manager’s walk which is also held annually.

Though the event started on a low note due to a low turn-up from the night crawlers, it catapulted to a high note by midnight as the residents of Orapa filled up Duck n’ Scrum grounds.

Mosako was the first to hit the stage and he did not disappoint his fans as he showcased a marvelous performance. He was then followed by Zeus who also elevated the mood of the night with his unique and appealing rap style.

The sparks flew in the air as Lizibo burnt down Duck stage roofs with his magic performance and a majority of the night crawlers most importantly ladies could not contain themselves as the pint sized stylish artist took to the stage.

Lizibo’s appearance on the stage seemed to be enough for the revelers as the air was filled with screams from the ladies’ side, and when they got to hear his sweet melodious voice, they ran berserk.

Just one line of the song Are kopaneng did wonders for the night crawlers as he complemented it with his exquisitly contained dance moves. The hearts of the revelers melted out as he electrocuted them with the song,O tla mmona ko kae, which left them startled beyond.

The local artiste Smar, who wrapped up the night kept the momentum as he played his latest hit, Batho ba dutse dikhoneng,as well as ,We Ndobolo, which also raised the mood of the night crawlers as they kept begging for more. ENDS
