Copper cable suspect in custody

A 32-year-old man has been arrested by Broadhurst police in connection with an attempt to steal copper cables at a company site in Block 3 industrial site on September 12.
A press release from the police stated that the arrest followed a tip-off, which the police followed and intercepted three suspects who were trying to steal copper cables. It said police managed to arrest one suspect while two others fled the scene and were still at large.
It further stated that the South Central Division statistics showed that a total of seven cases of theft of power cables were recorded last week. ENDS
