Children should embrace giving
16 Sep 2014
Children must be taught the spirit of giving from an early age, assistant corporate affairs officer with Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM), Baker Tebogo, said at a recent charity concert in Orapa.
Tebogo, who was involved in organising the event, said the show, which took place on September 13 at Orapa Sports Hall was a fun-filled fund raising event dubbed the Junior Charity Concert which was done through entertainment quizzes, performances and other entertainment activities.
He said the concert was part and parcel of the Orapa,Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines’ annual general manager’s sponsored walk exercise, which aimed to raise money for the socio-economic benefit of the less privileged members of society.
Tebogo also said like other activities of the Annual OLDM GM, sponsored walk CSI project, the Junior Charity concert continued to grow and impart its core mandate’s principles unto its revelers, thus improving the livelihoods of the disadvantaged.
This year the show had gathered big youth entertainment such as Loungo King Bee` Pitse the presenter of Botswana Television (BTV) Orange Flava Dome, Flexyville, Art of soul, My African dream talent Search show presenter Bonolo Magowe, DJ Scan (Orapa resident Disc Jockey), Rapper Ozi F.Teddy, Flexyville, Teacher Boy (Boteti artist) and more student entertainment from local pupils.
