Miss Winter spring explosion, an annual event spearheaded by Bon Fella Records brought together 10 models recently in Francistown to battle for the coveted crown.

The event, which saw a number of beauty pageant fanatics come to witness the crowning of their queen started a little bit late, however it did not disappoint as the ladies were exquisite and up to international standards, amusing the crowd with their cat walks, glamorous outfits and smiles.

Moreover, artists like Accuse spiced up the event with their Zion Kwaito tunes. The event heated as it reached the top five in which five ladies were given an opportunity to infuse their beauty with their brains and Bakang Serumola who hails from Bobonong but based in Francistown managed to impress the judges with her bright answers and confidence.

She exuded confidence and expressed herself clearly which surely swayed the judges to her side resulting in her being crowned the Miss Spring Explosion 2014 queen.

However, Cynthia Mokate became the 1st princes and Neo Mudongo settled for the 2nd princess. Both ladies were elegant and confident and seemed to be doing what they love most.

However, the organiser of the show, Kgakgamatso Mochae stressed that although people in Francistown do not consider beauty pageant as a business she was delighted with the turn out and was eager to make it a national event which youth from all over Botswana can participate.

Furthermore, Mochae stressed that Francistown lacks entertainment and said it was high time Francistown residents come up with ideas so as to bring back the vibe of the city, rather than wait for people from outside the city to come and entertain them.

She stressed that Francistown is expected to be an investment hub by 2022 and urged locals to be part of the city’s vision. Ends
