Star Luu back

In an interview, Star Luu said he entered the music industry at a young age, therefore he saw it fit to take a break in order to recap and re-brand from Kwaito to Urban Flavour music.

As a vibrant and talented artiste, he said during his break, he ventured into choreography and writing lyrics for other artistes.

He stressed that he was urged by his legion of fans who wanted him to return to the music industry, so as to soothe their thirst with his exquisite lyrics and dance moves.

Star Luu already has three Kwaito album under his belt namely, My selector produced in 2005, Shobota produced in 2006 and had a hit song Periperi and lastly, Catch me if you can, which was produced in 2008.

This vibrant artiste has now diverted from Kwaito music and has introduced his own style called, Urban Flavour, which he said is African Soul or a mixture of Rumba, Afro Pop laced on African drums.

He expresses his lyrics in different languages such as English, Setswana, Shona, Lingala and Zulu, which he said unite Africa.

Moreover, he said his album titled Noluntu has 10 tracks and is dropping later this month. 

“My latest album was recorded and produced under Bon-Fella Records and I am looking forward to touring countries like South Africa, Zambia, Namibia and the United Kingdom to promote it.” He said.

Star Luu, who also has an upcoming clothing label, said his latest project depicts his maturity, stressing that his fans will be satisfied with it. 

He also added that the video for the title song and a single called Noluntu had a huge response after it was sent to Flavour Dome and You Tube, stressing that he is eager to send it for award nominations at Channel O and Music TV after dropping the album.

Solomon ‘Chase’ Mabutho, the owner of Bon-Fella Records and producer of Star Luu’s album expressed delight and satisfaction at the artiste’s growth and talent in music. 

He said he enjoyed working with him, stressing that he is a patient and talented artiste who does not struggle to put vocals on the song. 

Mabutho said they took their time in producing this album and he regards it as the best in all his productions.

Furthermore, he added that his client wants to change the face of music in Botswana, stating that the upcoming album’s single has a huge response in Southern Africa and has accumulated more than 20 000 likes on You Tube.

He however urged him to keep up his discipline, stressing that he is ready to support and market his album. ENDS
