Final auditions for Junior Miss Botswana August 15
14 Aug 2014
It is that time of the year when young girls from around the country gather up in cute dresses and attires to claim the crown of the fairest girl in the land, the Junior Miss Botswana crown.
This year, the final auditions of this beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, August 16, in Gaborone at Childline Centre from 10am to 4pm.
Junior Miss Botswana is going to be bigger and better this year, and all young girls between the ages of six and 14 years are encouraged to enter the auditions with assistance and authorisation of a parent or guardian.
Speaking to BOPA, Queen Kolobe one of the organisers of Miss Junior Botswana said they do not have many restrictions for this pageant as it will be for children and they just want them to enjoy themselves.
Children are urged to come in their casual clothes and smart children’s makeup and hair, small, short, slim, tall and all girls who feel have the confidence to walk and do some public speaking are encouraged to come and audition.
Ms Kolobe noted that participants who would be shortlisted for the grand finale scheduled for November this year, would undergo a three months training.
She encouraged mothers and their daughters to come and audition as this was the last round of auditions before the show.
She said that they had been to local and international Primary Schools scouting for that special young girl and this was the last chance. Little ladies who aspire to be the next queen of Botswana should feel in the registration form, bring two photographs, a full body and close up and also a P50 Audition fee.
Ms Kolobe further appealed to the business community to sponsor the event as it is still growing and need financial guidance also that most importantly the money made through Miss Junior Botswana will be donated to Childline Botswana. ENDS
