South African saves comedy show8232

Major Moves Entertainment has been known for hosting successful comedy shows ever since, but its Friday show (August 8) was second-rate.

This was probably because of the lineup, which was predominantly upcoming comics, the likes of Panado, Trevor, Peter and Ouza. The show started on a low note with Panado first on stage where he did not live up to the audience’s expectations.

Panado lacked confidence while his content was also shallow, which resulted in the crowd hardly laughing at his jokes. The show was however saved by renowned South African comedian, Sifiso Nene who was the director of ceremony.

The talented South African brought life to the show with his material which ranged from South African politics, sex explicit, the Amantle Montsho doping allegations and general life stuff.

However, Laff-A-Lot’s Phenyo “The Master,” was also on fire at the show. He brought fresh material which the audience appreciated a lot and he was evidently the favourite of the night given the laughter by the audience throughout his stage time.

What a genius he was when it came to imitating different tribes’ tones and languages living in the country, he cracked many when he emulated Bakalanga.

President’s Day 2014 comedy champion, Mawee also did not disappoint, he managed to tickle comedy lovers throughout his stage time.
Amateurs in Panado, Trevor, Peter and Ouza still need mentoring, they were just mediocre. Ends
