Police in Mochudi are investigating a case in which Mochudi Furniture Mart store was broken into and items worth P19 000 stolen on June 30.
According to Assistant Superintendent Wazha Zambezi, three men stormed into Furnmart building and attacked the security officer. He said they fought and overpowered him then continued to smash the glass door to gain entry into the store.
Asst Supt Zambezi said the stolen items included cell phones, cameras, a television set and two laptops valued at more than P19 000.
He said the security officer blew his whistle, but no one came to his rescue, adding that what shocked them was that the alarm did not go out during the robbery only to ring more than 10 minutes later.
Zambezi said the culprits are still at large and asked public members to help with information which could lead to their arrest. ENDS
