DPP ready to serve accused with affidavits

State counsel in a matter in which two people are accused of murdering a 28-year-old woman who was a nurse at Nyangabgwe Hospital Referral early this year says investigations on the matter are almost complete.
Mr Gasemotho Pitlagano of the Directorate on Public Prosecutions (DPP) told the magistrates court on June 16 that the affidavit from the forensic laboratory had arrived and he applied for another mention date to allow the prosecution to serve the accused persons with the same affidavits.
Principal Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu set the mention date to June 30. The two accused persons are Atlholang ‘Two Metre’ Mujangi and Tshepo Nnewe. Both accused are on conditional bail.
The two accused persons were initially charged for abduction until January 13 when they charge changed from abduction to murder. Representing Mujangi is Kabelo Gaonyadiwe of KK Sechele Attorneys while Nnewe is represented by Mr Shathiso Nlebgwa of Ndawana Attorneys. ENDS
