Men plead guilty for stealing ox

Two men, on June 3 pleaded guilty before Kanye Magistrate Court for stealing a beast at Sehunou cattlepost.
The two unemployed men, Moagi Lebele, 40, and Kgosiitsile Mphurutlhe, 35, stole an ox belonging to Mr Goitse Mpolokang of Gasita. They stole the animal sometime in January this year.
At the time they were arrested, the men were asked to produce their identity cards but could not. It turned out they had stolen the ox which was valued at P5 500. The case will continue on June 20 for summary and mitigation.
In another case, Pastor Sehularo Mogopodi of Boseja ward from Mochudi asked the court to withdraw the case in which two men stole his cow. Pastor Mogopodi told the court that he had reconciled with the accused.
The pastor said one of the accused persons was his cousin and the family had met and agreed the culprit should reimburse him. ENDS
