A high fashion event recently took place in the corridors of Game City Mall in Gaborone when models walked the ramp to showcase winter collections by iDL Fashions.

The models displayed the latest winter colours, accessories and trends for both men and women. The fashion show was iDL’s very first and many more are expected to come. Lights, music and cameras accompanied the models while they took advantage of the mall’s fitting landscape.

Inspired by their spring clothes, they chose a few colours for everything to focus on a certain trademark of winter coats, hats, shoes and accessories for both men and women. Their target market was an average Motswana with affordable prices.

Greens, reds and browns were their signature colours as the models had decorated their clothing with metallic neck prices and belts.

Lesedi Mogwera, a sales representative at iDL, said the mandate of the fashion show was to show Batswana what they had in store and also to expand their brand. “We cater for casual, high fashion, formal, and just any classically ready to wear clothes,” said Mogwera.

She added that sometimes customers came to the shop looking for certain trends, therefore; they also cater for women and men with different needs and exactly what they want. The first round was a casual wear of black silk blouses, polka dots and high waist skirts.

While the men rocked chic shirts with a dash of stripped scuffs to give the clothes a more cadence look.

Models also portrayed different coats with a vast variety of colors and designs swaying them with slim fit pants and leggings while the men wore long coats that had an interesting detail of buttons to give them a fresh and distinctive appearance.

In addition, the whites also dazzled with golden metallic neck pierces and belts that accentuated the clothes, making them more daring.

The managing director, Rachel Mc Niel alluded to the fact that the fashion show was a team effort between her staff, event organisers and family to make her dream of designing clothes come true.
