Kanye based David Leotloba, aka DJ Clippa recently hosted the second annual freshers’ ball in an effort to raise funds for all the seven secondary schools in the village.

DJ Clippa said the show featured local artistes such as Psycho Kings, Mc Rock Bits and Ndobelicious among others. He said he would give each school 30 per cent of proceeds from the show in an effort to reduce their dependence on government especially with regards to minor works.

He said his company, DJ Clippa Entertainment Services had also contributed P20 000 towards the event and urged other Batswana to take cue from the gesture, adding government could not afford to provide all the goods and services to the nation due to the current economic recession.

The event also featured narcotic squad from Botswana Police Services with the view to educate and dissuade the youth to stop doing drugs and drinking alcohol, adding one could still enjoy entertainment without the two.

DJ Clippa also explained that he deliberately lined up local artistes for the show to give them platform to strut their stuff, adding the event was the only annual activity in the district. ENDS
