Court issues warrant of arrest for Mojanji

Francistown Magistrate Dumisani Basupi has issued a warrant of arrest for a man accused of damaging property.

Atlholang ‘Two metre’ Mojanji, 33, accused of burning a Toyota Corolla, failed to appear for mention last week and that resulted in prosecutor,  Ms Tawana Kaponga applying for a warrant of his arrest.

Briefing the court, Ms Kaponga however, said that she would have to familiarise herself with the docket as the case had been handled bseveral people.

Mojanji partly burnt a Toyota Corolla belonging to Letsweletse Matome near or at Mmei Junior Secondary School on April 21, 2012 in which property worth P4 000 was burnt.

In addition to the arson case, Mojanji who is a police officer in Francistown, is also facing a murder charge alongside his colleague, Tshepho Nlewa.

The officers were both charged at the beginning of January this year for allegedly killing 28- year-old Bokani Sox, a former nurse at Nyangabgwe Referral Hospital. ENDS
