01 Apr 2014

Florah Letshwenyo popularly known as Sis flo in the music circles has released an album titled ARV.

Speaking during the album review, Sis flo said she chose to sing about ARV pills because she had realised that many people were afraid to take the pills freely as they feared being discriminated by other people.

The 32-year-old said she released the song so that people could stop mocking others about taking their medication. She said patients should take their medications freely, without fearing anything and that they should stop drinking alcohol.

The album which was released in February this year has six songs, amongst them Choppies, Lame, Ngwao setso and the launch is in few weeks time.

Sis flo said she decided to release a song about Choppies as they are doing a great job to her music career. She said Choppies is marketing her because whenever they open their stores, they invite her to provide entertainment to their customers and as such, they deserve to be thanked for their efforts.

She said Lame is a song which she dedicates to men who are abused by women.

She is motivating men that have been abused to forget about the past and focus on the future.

The Serowe born artiste said she did not face any challenges when releasing the album as Choppies supported her with money.

She said she sends her gratitude to the Choppies Chief Executive Officer, Ramchandral Ottapath, the Marketing Manager, Otsile Marole and Chase Mabutho of Bon- fella records.

Sis flo started in the music industry four years ago when she released the first album titled Pelophuti, a project in which she worked with Franco, Culture Spears, Recky and Black Eye.

She said the album did very well as it sold 2.8 copies. She adds that she did disco because she was motivated by Patricia Majalisa, a diva that she once shared a stage with.

She stated that she is not focusing on the music industry only, but also owns a restaurant and has formed a helping centre named Kutlwelobothoko Centre last year November which assists by giving love and care to HIV positive and neglected kids.

She added that music does not disturb her business and Christian life as she gives them equal love and believes that when she reaches the age of 45, she will be done with music and will focus on her family.

Sis flo urged upcoming artists to be patient, have respect for people and surrender all unto God.Ends
