Thebe Ndjavera awaits committal documents

A state counsel in a double-murder case, Ms Thatayaone Tshekiso, has informed Francistown Magistrate Court that the prosecution is still awaiting committal documents of the matter from the head office in Gaborone.
Appearing on behalf of the substantive counsel, Mr Chimbisane Sechele, Ms Tshekiso said upon return of documents, the matter would be committed to the High Court.
She further told the court that the defence counsel, Mr Kabelo Gaonyadiwe of KK Sechele Attorneys could not be available in court because he was attending another matter at the High Court. The accused Thebe Ndjavera is facing two counts of murdering his two toddlers aged two and four.
The murder took place in Somerset East location in February last year. Magistrate Sijabuliso Siziba set April 9 as another mention date.
