Exhibitors hail mining exposition

16 Mar 2014

Exhibitors have hailed the first ever mining and technical expo which was held in Jwaneng recently.

In an interview, one of the exhibitors, Mr David Buchanan of Franklin Electric Company which manufactures and supplies pumps, said the expo was the right platform for his company to showcase its products to the public.

Mr Buchanan also explained that even though they were exhibiting in a mining and technical expo, their products were not only limited to mining as the pumps were also ideal for agricultural purposes, different businesses as well as home use.

Another exhibitor, Mr Kago Tawana of JCB concurred that the exhibition provided an interactive ground where they met with potential clients and marketed different generators that were on offer for both business and home use. He was hopeful that even though they were well known for the heavy machinery, their other diverse products will attract interest from the public.

The mining and technical expo, which was organised by South African based Mining and Technical Exhibitions (MTE), attracted 37 exhibitors that deal with innovation, new technology and other mining related machinery.

Among the many companies that exhibited were Marthinusen & Countts, Karcher, Mersen, Chieftain South Africa, Big Thaya Traders, Cool Tech and Ground Control industrial supplies. ENDS
