Investigations on to establish results mishap
10 Mar 2014
North West regional education director, Mr Acronews Maseko says investigations are on-going to establish what could have led to omission of Biology grades for Shakawe Senior Secondary School students.
Mr Maseko said in an interview that the education sector was working hand in hand with Botswana Examination Council (BEC) to find the cause.
At the moment, he said, they could not point fingers at each other until the issue had been finalised.“We are following the issue up and we believe the investigation would reveal exactly what could have happened,” he said.
Meanwhile, Mr Maseko maintained that students had sat for the final examination and managed to write the Biology paper. The issue transpired after the Botswana General Certificate Secondary Education (BGCSE) results were released where it was realised that students’ Biology grades were missing. Ends
