Official expects donated computer to add value

Mogorosi Primary School has been implored to utilise the donated computer to improve academic results.
The chief education officer in the central region, Ms Dolly Monageng said this during the handing over of the computer by Dimple Holdings on Monday, March 3.
Ms Monageng said the school should appreciate Dimple Holding effort to develop Batswana children and assisting to improve the academic performance.
“To the staff and PTA, it is good to receive but remember that we receive to produce results, it is not about having many computers in the school.” She stated that the donation should be utilised to bring change and value to the students and teachers.
She further implored the school “to connect internet so that you can research, we don’t need a situation where by a teacher does not have enough information. “We want to see value addition in terms of results at the end of the year”.
In his welcome remarks, the school head, Mr Ontiretse Kenaope said the director of Dimple Holding Mr Farhang Nikakhtar pledged to donate an Information Technology equipment worth P10 000 last year during school price giving ceremony .
Mr Kenaope said the gesture addressed their need and further added that they wanted to transform their school to be the centre of excellence. ENDS
