Tsela Advanced Driver Training (TADT), a company that specialises in a range of training and motoring event activities aims to bring a new exciting dimension to vehicle related activities in Botswana.

TADT which was now in partnership with Spin City, AG Pump, Robot Auto, Fairground Holdings and Baobab would secure and develop the fairgrounds area (old BDF base) into an exciting, professional and permanent 4X4 driving, testing and training facility.

It would provide different driver training including defensive driving, advanced driver training, off-road driver training, heavy vehicle training and specialised training.

Also, it would have tracks for soft off-roaders and hard off-roaders. Along, with their partners, TADT would not only provide professional facility but it would present activities that were unrivalled in Botswana.

Speaking during the ground breaking ceremony of TADT, the CEO of Fairground holdings, Mike Montshiwa said they would bring a new addition to the Consumer Fair this year.

“We believe it will add excitement. The advanced training course will grow over and above Consumer Fair,” he said.

He added that they want to make fairgrounds the number one venue for car shows, spinning and other motor related events.

He highlighted that they would put safety at the forefront adding that alcohol would not be sold to drivers during those motoring events.

He said they plan to make it a family-friendly event where parents could bring their children.

Spin City event organiser, Joseph Khengere said the partnership was a milestone towards the improvement of motorsport in the country.

He said they want to bring events that Batswana thought existed only in other countries adding that with TADT they want people to understand how to drive 4x4.

“We are going to have the practicality of driving 4X4, we will have quad bike trails, motor bike trails and we will teach ladies how to recover cars off the road,” he said.

Further, he said they were in the process of building a facility with a zero tolerance crime. He highlighted that there was a need to safeguard the interest of consumers.

For her part, the managing director of Robot Auto, Weedad Jeelabdeen said they want followers to help grow the event. She added that they felt the need to expand motoring events in Botswana. ENDS
