COSAFA appointments welcome development

The appointments of nine Batswana in Council of Southern Africa Football Associations (COSAFA) committees and boards reflects the contribution of Botswana’s football fraternity to the development, administration and governance of the sport in the Southern African region.
This was said by Botswana Football Association president, Tariq Babitseng, adding that their appointments would provide an opportunity for Botswana to continue contributing its expertise, experience and leadership to the advancement of football in Southern Africa.
According to a press release from the football association, the representatives have been appointed in areas including finance, competitions, technical development, medical affairs, women’s football, commercial and television matters, as well as ethics and governance.
Girish Ramakrishna has been appointed chairperson of the Finance Committee, while Kabo Nelson Tiro will serve on the Organising Committee for Competitions.
Former Zebras international, Diphetogo Selolwane has been appointed to the Technical and Development Committee, with Basadi Akoonyatse joining the Medical Committee.
Keeng Botloseng Mosinyi will serve on the Women’s Football Committee, while Carlos Sebina has been appointed to the Commercial and Television Committee.
Letsweletse Martin Dingake has been appointed chairperson of the Appeals Board, while Yarona Sharp will serve on the Ethics Board.
Nombizile Walebowa will serve in the Governance and Compliance Committee. ENDS
