Drug shortage eases

Acting President, Mr Nelson Ramaotwana (right) being taken on a tour of Extension II and Bontleng Clinics in Gaborone yesterday by Senior Pharmacist, Ms Makhotso Bakere (left) to appreciate the status of medicine supplies. Ms Bakere informed Mr Ramaotwana, who is also Minister of Justice and Correctional Services and Gaborone South MP, that while clinics were still experiencing sporadic shortages of certain pharmaceutical supplies, the overall supplies had improved. Mr Ramaotwana said the tour followed a recent Cabinet decision for Members of Parliament and Ministers to visit various health facilities nationwide to assess firsthand whether the availability of medication was improving.
