Dinare and Enesia clash in crucial decider

21 May 2026

All roads lead to Francistown City Council stadium this Sunday afternoon, where Dinare FC and Enesia FC will meet in the second leg of the promotional playoffs to secure a spot in the elite, FNB Premier league.

As it stands, the Ramotswa outfit, Dinare, from First Division South has an upper hand, following a 4-2 thrashing of Enesia, from First Division north in the first leg played at GU stadium in Gaborone.

Therefore, the visitors will only be focused on securing a draw and avoiding defeat at all cost to keep their premier league promotion dream alive.

Despite the healthy lead, Dinare general manager, Tweed Selelo said his team would approach the game with utmost caution and fully focused on protecting what they possessed.

“We understand that the game is far from over. We still have 90 more minutes to play. Although we started a bit slow and sluggish in the first leg, our approach will not be different from how we played last Friday in Gaborone,” he said.

Selelo appealed to Dinare supporters to turn out in force, noting that the team management had arranged transportation for their travel to and from Francistown.

“My plea to the supporters and well-wishers of Dinare is that they should come and rally behind the team in large numbers like they did last week. As the management, we have moved swiftly to avail transportation for fans who are willing to travel with the team. We will be heavily relying on those at Francistown and surrounding areas to come in large numbers and push the boys throughout the match,” he said.

He said the only wish for the team was to get automatic promotion to the elite league during the current season’s campaign.

Despite falling short, he said the team never despaired, as they continued working hard to secure second position, giving them another chance to get promotion.

Enesia public relations officer, Kabelo Dipholo believed the 4-2 score line did not reflect the full story of the first leg, insisting that the tie was still wide open.

“The score line does not give the real picture of the match. Coming back and overcoming a 4-2 defeat is a mammoth task against a well drilled side like Dinare, but we have a team of hungry youngsters who are capable of overturning the score line,” Dipholo said.”

He said scoring two away goals was evident that the team was capable of getting a positive result. “If we managed to score two away goals, we can score four at home. It is not over until the fat lady sings,” he said. ends
