Majwe Mining will hand over a double wide steel office block to Lotlamoreng Junior Secondary School in Good Hope on February 14.

The office block consists of six offices, a staff room space, two separate toilets and a kitchen, all valued at P500 000. The Minister of Minerals, Energy and Water Resources, Mr Kitso Mokaila, who is also the MP for Barolong, will officiate.

The ceremony will also be attended by the Minister of Education and Skills Development, Dr Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi.

Majwe Mining's corporate social responsibility policy and programme aimed at uplifting the lives of the less privileged members of communities and to sponsor projects that added value to the lives of all the communities within which they operated.

The company had realised that there was need to heed government’s challenge of poor academic performance and many other problems faced by the education system in the country.

Majwe Mining, together with its sub-contractors, Otraco and Danoher, have adopted Lotlamoreng Junior Secondary School.

Apart from supporting the Ministry of Education and Skills Development initiative, Adopt a School, the three companies are also contributing towards the Vision 2016 pillar of a just, caring and compassionate nation. ENDS
