High Commissioner Madhava Chandra of India has advised  Shoshong residents to look into the possibility of getting a Rapid Incubation Centre.

He said a team from the Local Enterprise Authority (LEA) had just returned from India to finalise the memorandum of understanding and to pave a way for setting up the rapid incubator centre in Botswana.

Mr Chandra explained that the incubation centre was a complete set-up of an all encompassed technical, mechanical, including a module which had the feasibility study, the design and machinery ready to use in a small scale industry.

He added that the incubation centre was a module ready for production in any sector one chose, be it agriculture, food, household  goods, and hundreds of industries, saying it would create employment opportunities especially for the youth.

He urged Shoshong residents to take maximum benefits from various incubator programmes and schemes for the sustainable economic development

On other issues, Mr Chandra said the Indian High Commission has shown willingness to offer three to four scholarships to people from the Shoshong constituency for this year. He said the people would be trained at the Bare Foot College whose main focus is to generate solar energy.
