Puma Energy opens service station in Molepolole

The opening of Puma Energy Botswana 45th service station in Molepolole highlights the company’s promise  of empowering citizens through its mandate of fostering the country’s economic growth.

The service station, trading as the Luke House, is expected to create more than 25 jobs to locals.

Puma Energy Botswana general manager Ms Tendai Mwewa said the opening of the service station reiterated their mission to bring quality services to customers. 

“We are proud as Puma Energy Botswana that the management of this station falls under Mr Lamont Loeto who is a youth. 

Mr Loeto joined Puma Energy Botswana two years ago as part of graduate training programme which included secondment to other Puma Energy offices in Africa. He has been fast-tracked to his current position of retail Territory Manager at Puma Energy Botswana.  Luke House service station marks his inaugural project in his capacity,” she said at the official opening.

Molepolole North MP, Mr Arafat Khan said the new service station would help narrow the unemployment gap.

Puma Chief Executive Officer for Africa, Mr Ben Outtara said his company was committed to the growth of Africa’s energy sector and of helping enable socio-economic progress through safe and reliable access to fuel.

Mr Ouattara said they aimed for growth with the intention to invest into more service stations, enhancing retail and commercial offerings by partnering with convenience stores and quick-service restaurants. 

Puma Energy Botswana announced a donation of P25 000 to Anne Stine Stimulation and rehabilitation services of 40 children with disabilities. ENDS
