The Ghanzi District Council has registered a company that will manage all its future investments and business endeavours.

The company, which was registered under the name Ghanzi Economic Funding Company, kicked off initial operations with an olive farming joint venture project in conjunction with an Israeli company.

Ghanzi District Council public relations officer, Mr Phatodi Nacane said the company would also be involved in a number of investment projects in the district and would also be responsible for improving Ghanzi’s economic prospects and giving the area a face lift.

“As part of the face lifting project, Ghanzi will soon have an electronic billboard and an aquatic sports centre. We are also exploring the possibility of developing a trucking bay and a market centre,” said Mr Nacane. ENDS
