Mozambican embassy bids counsellor farewell

As part of the small team that initiated Mozambique High Commission, the outgoing Mozambique counsellor, Mr Alfredo Nuvunga has played an important role in developing the mission.
Speaking during a farewell cocktail in Gaborone on January 28, Mozambique High Commissione,r Mr Tiago Castigo said Mr Nuvunga who had been in Botswana for nine years had the potential and abilities that the country needed.
Mr Nuvunga’s departure, he said, was a loss describing him as a simple, hardworking and responsible person in each professional step he took.
Mr Castigo further described Mr Nuvunga as a true advisor saying he joined the High Commission nine months after its inception and had helped the government of Mozambique to nurture the good relations that it had with Botswana.
He said they were confident that the road that he would be taking would be as full of accomplishments as the one he paved in Botswana.For his part, Mr Nuvunga acknowledged the warm treatment that he had received during his tenure in Botswana saying he learnt a lot citing diverse cultural backgrounds.
He thanked the organisers of the event for giving him a gift that had a touch of the Botswana culture. ENDS
