PinnaLead aims to empower leaders

There is need to equip leaders with practical tools to maximise their leadership abilities.
This was said by founder of PinnaLead, Ms Lorato Mosetlhanyane during a Live2Lead Live Simulcast in Gaborone recently.
Ms Mosetlhanyane said there had been a significant reflection of dictatorship, suppression of employees, emotional abuse, among others, within different workplaces, hence the simulcast for leadership growth which aimed to equip or educate them in effort to change the status quo.
She added that an effective leader ought to have the ability to be receptive of criticism.
For her part, an executive coach, Ms Naomi Sithole, said leaders should possess great interpersonal relationship skills that could make it easy for employees and employers to engage rationally.
Ms Sithole also highlighted the need for leaders to avoid instilling fear in their employees as a mechanism to earn respect and loyalty from them, saying that instead brought about bitterness and hatred.
“Being feared does not mean that you are doing the right thing. It is rather an indication of disaster within the workplace because it would only be a matter of time before it explodes into rebellion and misconduct from the employees,” she said.
Mr Tshepiso Masilonyane, an investment analyst, advised leaders to create a safe space for employees to be able to take risks and implement new strategies and approaches for growth.
PinnaLead started operating in 2013 and for the past 10 years, it has been moulding leaders to be role models and pushing them towards a servant leadership shifting from positional managing. Ends
