KBL beats market turbulences

Kgalagadi Breweries Limited (KBL) is slowly realising its position after going through a turbulent period of declining sales due to various market factors.
KBL Sales and Distribution director, Mr Wayne Fouche said this at the second KBL Bagwebi Awards Gala Dinner held at Gaborone International Convention Centre (GICC) on Tuesday night (November 26).
Mr Fouche said because of unshaken loyalty, which KBL continues to receive from its customers, the company was able to stay afloat and would ever endure to be at the forefront of assisting new businesses.
He noted that through Bagwebi programme, businesses which follow KBL marketing and sales guidelines, have substantially grown and improved. “This is a highly commendable development,” he said.
Mr Fouche said they anticipate that the envisaged expansion of the programme and revamping would yield more results as many businesses benefit from such a positive move.
KBL, he said, recognises business operators who sell its products according to recommended prices or attractive prices aimed at boosting the enterprise and creating a large customer base.
At least seven business operators were chosen to stand a chance to win a Toyota 2.7 van which was finally won by the owner of Ritz Bar in Maun Mr Trevor Ponego, while the second prize went to BDF Donga Bar in Francistown which got itself a trailer and two pallets of quarts. The third prize went to The Pub Bar of Molepolole which won a trailer and a pallet of quarts.
Other business operators were given recognition certificates. ENDS
