 President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi July 11 participated in a virtual extraordinary SADC organ troika summit that deliberated on security situation in the region.

A press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs says the summit was chaired by President Dr Hage Geingob, chairperson of the SADC organ on Politics, Defence and Security.

The release says the summit was preceeded by a virtual meeting of Ministerial Committee of the Organ and SADC senior officials on July 10.

The summit was attended by the Organ Troika and SADC Troika member states, Force Intervention Brigade contributing countries, SADC Mission in Mozambique personnel contributing countries and Mozambique.

According to the release, President Masisi’s delegation comprised of Foreign Affairs Minister, Dr Lemogang Kwape, Minister of Defence and Security, Mr Kagiso Mmusi and senior government officials. ENDS
