President, Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi and his siblings will forever remember their mother Ms Precious Masego Masisi as a jolly and industrious woman who gave them a happy upbringing.

The President shared with the heads of missions during their visit to console the family in Moshupa on Wednesday that they would always be grateful for the long life they shared with her.

“We had a happy life. Mom was a jolly woman and a very industrious woman,” he said of his mother who was also fondly known as Mma Tshelang.

In that regard, he said their mother had led a good life that deserved celebration and shared that she was a fashionista and loved music. She was musical, she could sing very well, he said.

President Masisi informed the envoys that his mother passed on last Friday and that she died peacefully and happy.

In his offer of condolences, UN Resident Coordinator Mr Zia Choudhury said they felt privileged to have had the opportunity to join the Masisi family in celebration of their mother’s life.

“It’s a blessing that she passed peacefully after a long and industrious life” he said. “Her memory will be cherished.”

 Ms Masisi will be laid to rest in Moshupa on Saturday and she is survived by six children, three daughters and three sons. Ends
