Teachers day should be a day to acknowledge the educators role as torch bearers of knowledge for many.
As such all should celebrate with them their multi-tasking techniques they use to teach while laying a foundation for a bright future.
The Assistant Human Resource Manager from DeBeers Diamond Trading Company Ms Malebogo Moeti said this during the Teachers Day celebration in Rasesa on Friday.
“Your tireless efforts, passing and dedication shape the future generation and lay the foundation for a brighter tomorrow,” she said
Ms Moeti who has also been in the teaching sector before joining the diamond industry said she was proud of teachers because they change lives, inspire dreams and push the limits of human potential.
She said the teacher’s role in the classroom, society and the world at large should not be overlooked as doctors, lawyers and presidents among other professions are molded by teachers.
“Despite the trials and the daily challenges you face in the classroom, you should be proud for producing well rounded citizens who some are part of the economy.”

Pheko said teaching imparts knowledge and values which helped young minds to develop perceptions which one lived forever
“It is important to note that a teacher is always within us, embedded deep inside our subconscious mind and there is more to teaching than just imparting knowledge. It is about providing others with the situations in which they can learn more,” Pheko said.
