Mascom has increased its Kitsong centre footprint to 114 across the country with the latest in Thamaga.
Speaking at the hand over ceremony recently, Thamaga/Kumakwane MP, Mr Palelo Motaosane said he was grateful that Mascom had established an ICT centre in his constituency as residents had been travelling long distances to obtain services.
He said the centre would help entreprenuers to improve their business skills.
Mr Motaosane also encouraged recipients to take the opportunity as a stepping stone to better things. He pleaded with residents to refrain from vandalising the centre.
A Mascom representative, Ms Lindiwe Ramorwa said the main objective of the initiative was to setup centres in areas where ICT services were previously not available.
She said the centre would provide long-term benefits to communities and make profit to sustain the beneficiary.
She added that perseverance, commitment and confidence were key to a successful business.
In an interview Ms Sylvia Kgarubane, who is an entrepreneurship development graduate from ABM University said she was happy to own the centre. Ms Kgarubane said her aim was to ensure that customers received ICT services of a high standard. ENDS
