President Masisi gives public lecture at University of Pennsylvania

President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi says his government's desire is to see Batswana playing a significant role throughout the diamond value chain, not just in the upstream mining activities.
In the mid and downstream processes, he said, there was greater value addition leveraging on technology, innovation, pricing and marketing, amongst key soft skills.
He said this when addressing a public lecture at the University of Pennsylvania in the United States on Monday,
The lecture was held under the theme: Good Governance, Democracy and the Management of Natural Resources in Botswana, Lessons for other Resource Rich Countries in the World.
President Masisi also met with Bots-Upenn partnership team and Batswana studying at the university. ends
