20 Mar 2023

St Peters Primary School on Friday celebrated the learner’s impressive performance in the 2022 Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE) which placed them at position one in the Bobirwa sub-region.

The victory celebrations held in Mmadinare were graced by the Assistant Minister of Education and Skills Development Mr Aubrey Lesaso who was pleased with the school’s 93.7 per cent pass rate.

He said the performance was worthy to be celebrated more especially in this era where most children struggled to get good results.

He said parents were facing   parenting challenges of grooming today’s generation into well-rounded and responsible citizens.

“Government needs everyone’s assistance to manage the country and improve living standards for its citizenry and this calls for all stakeholders to be patriotic and help with the little they have to meet the government halfway,” he said.

Mr Lesaso said it was time the country groomed learners who could be recognised internationally. This he said   could only be possible through mindset change and positive attitude towards learning.

He said not all children were gifted academically hence the need to identify and align learners according to their talents.

He said his ministry had embarked on an outcome based education for children to be equipped with skills, competencies, as well as professional ethics to ready them for the working world.

The MP for Mmadinare Mr Molebatsi Molebatsi commended the school for the good results despite the challenges.

He also applauded the class of 2022 for their dedication to school work, adding “for one to be successful they need to be determined to realise their dreams.”

The school head Ms Kolagano Monare thanked Mr Molebatsi and other stakeholders for their support, especially during the time when the school was faced with shortage of resources.

She said the school performane was outstandingly in the 2022 PSLE than in the previous years. ENDS
