Debonairs Pizza (Galo mall) has donated a brand new wheelchair to a 73-year-old man in Francistown. 

When receiving the wheelchair on Monday, a delighted Mr Bazibi Osupile promised to put it to good use. 

He said though his home village of Marapong was sandy, he hoped the new wheelchair will adapt to the terrain. 

Mr Osupile also extended his appreciation to Ghetto-Metro, who posted his appeal on their online edition last week, adding that his old wheelchair was also a donation from his former councillor, Mr Lesetedi Tobokwe.

Debonairs representative, Ms Mildrid Uyapo said the wheelchair was one of the many donations the company had committed to on a monthly basis. 

She said other donations included food hampers to the under privileged members of the community and those living with disabilities. 

Monarch Councillor, Mr Otsile Moses thanked Debonairs for the generosity and appealed to other companies to emulate it.

He said it was pleasing to see companies heeding government’s call for help, especially in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

The beneficiary’s caretaker and niece, Ms Rosina Orapetse, said the donation would change her uncle’s life. ENDS
