Princess Marina delivers two babies

Princess Marina Hospital delivered two babies, a boy and girl on New Year.
Mary Magdeline Tanki also born on Christmas Day welcomed her bundle of joy at 0400 hours, named Prince Blessing Tanki.
The family from Moshupa described Prince’s birth as a blessing being the first boy child to be born in the Tanki family.
Sharing the good news the elated mother indicated that she was born in a family of girls with all the maternal grandchildren being girls.
“My mother named him Prince as he is the only boy in the family and therefore he is our king. He is also a blessing to the family as we had long wished for a boy in the family,” said Ms Tanki.
The new mother described the birth of her child not only as a blessing but a new beginning to her life as a mother.
Therefore, she encouraged other mothers who were blessed with babies in the New Year to stay positive and guide their children accordingly to grow into responsible citizens.
Meanwhile, Chief Registered Nurse, Ms Sylvia Mmitsi said the hospital has so far delivered two babies in the first day of the New Year, while the girl was delivered at 0645 hours.
Ms Mmitsi said both babies were in good health.
She said the girl was delivered through caesarian section was recovering accordingly. Ms Mmitsi said three other expectant mothers were yet to deliver their babies. ENDS
