Mascom wireless effort to upgrade network services to 4G is in line with government’s Reset Agenda and will help create different opportunities for Batswana.

Speaking during the celebration of the development in Mosi near Good Hope on Friday, Member of Parliament for Mmathethe/Molapowabojang, Dr Edwin Dikoloti urged residents to take advantage of the technology to better their lives.

He noted that the youth would now be in a position to apply for different programmes online.

“I urge all to use this technology wisely and be an exemplary to other Batswana as you grow your businesses and studies through technology,” he added.

He said he would be able to regularly communicate through zoom with constituents in an effort to develop the area.

He highlighted that information on government programmes and policies would now reach Batswana on time as most services were now found online.

He urged Mascom Wireless to continue improving network coverage all around the country, for the nation to communicate easily.

Ms Maitseo Ratladi from BOCRA explained that they joined forces with Mascom as it was part of their mandate to ensure that communication services were efficiently accessed by Batswana in all corners of the country.

Mascom head of public relations and communications Ms Tebogo Lebotse-Sebego said upgrading the network would benefit residents as they would access services easily online.

She said the developments were usually targeted by criminals and urged the community to be on guard against such.

Ms Lebotse-Sebego further cautioned the residents about criminals who sometimes send messages claiming to be Mascom personnel and advised them to check validity with the company upon receipt of such fraudulent messages. ENDs
