Members of Public Service Commission take oath
14 Dec 2022
Public Service Commission plays a key role in ensuring that public officers are treated fairly by their supervisors when serving the nation.
“The commission offers public officers a forum to have any grievances that they feel have not been sufficiently addressed at work to be ventilated by an independent body,” said Acting President Slumber Tsogwane when swearing in Dr Lucas Gakale and Ms Banny Molosiwa as new members of the Public Service Commission.
He said the two members, who took oath of office yesterday brought with them a wealth of knowledge and experience, having run, administered and being accountable for ministries during their time as permanent secretaries.
He said as accounting officers, the two dealt with a plethora of employees’ issues at the highest level.
“I have no doubt that they will quickly acclimatise themselves in their new positions as the work of the commission relates to maters that comfortably fall within their scope of knowledge and competency,” Mr Tsogwane noted. ENDS
