President Dr Mokgweetsi Masisi will participate in the 17th extraordinary summit on industrialisation and economic diversification slated for Niamey, Niger on Friday.

A Ministry of Foreign Affairs media release says the President will also attend the extraordinary session on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

It says the summit will be held under the theme, Industrialising Africa: Renewed commitment towards inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and economic diversification.

Its agenda includes the continent’s policy framework on industrialisation, ways in which value chains can create jobs and entrepreneurship opportunities for Africa’s micro, small and medium enterprises as well as updates on AfCFTA implementation, says the release.

President Masisi will be accompanied by Minister of Trade and Industry, Mr Mmusi Kgafela and senior government officials. ENDS
