Botswana, Namibia and South Africa joint law enforcement operation successful
No stone was left unturned on Wednesday when over two hundred law enforcement officers from Botswana, Namibia and South Africa joined hands to stamp authority in South Africa's Rustenburg, North West Province.
The massive joint operation road block was targeted at practically enforcing law on the Trans Kalahari Corridor (TKC) and appreciating truck drivers.
The road block also doubled as a Thank-a-Truck-Driver campaign, where 100 truckers who happened pass through the mounted road block received random gift hampers and meals to appreciate them for playing a substantial role in transporting goods for the benefit of SADC member states communities.
TKC executive director, Mr Leslie Mpofu said the operation helped operatives to identify ills on the corridor in order to improve law enforcement efficiencies across the countries, through which the 1 900-kilometre Trans Kalahari Corridor passes. ends
