Mourners describe Pemole as good leader

Kgosi Thanyego Pemole, 88, of Mosu, who died last week Sunday, was buried on Saturday.

One of the village elders, Mr Andrew Motlhabane described him as a good leader who led his people with respect and integrity, adding that he possessed desirable leadership qualities.

Kgosi Pemole was hailed as a leader who did not allow power to corrupt him, and that he treated people with fairness and was not influenced by someone’s power in society.

Mr Motlhabane also said Kgosi Pemole was an accountable and visionary leader who maintained peace and focused on building good relationships amongst his tribe.

“He was born a leader from a young age and got wisdom from his father as he was always in his company as he grew up,” Mr Motlhabane said.

His elder brother, Mr Lebopo Pemole said Kgosi Pemole was a reputable leader who worked in consultation with his tribe.

Mr Pemole also noted that he was soft spoken and loving, reiterating that he upheld peace in the village.

For his part, Kgosi Pemole’s son, Mr Lesupegile Pemole described his father as a friendly person who accommodated everyone from the young to the old.

He praised him as a good family man who was committed to his family and worked hard to provide for them.

Kgosi Pemole left government employment in 1986 due to illness. He also worked in the South African mines in the 70’s before working in contractors at Orapa mine, He also worked as a borehole attendant for government.

Deputy district commissioner, Mr Ewetse Selelo said they came to offer their support and condolences to the family as the central government leadership in Boteti.

Mr Selelo also noted that Kgosi Pemole dedicated his life to serving government and his community. ENDS
