Desert Sands Motel donates hamper

Desert Sands Motel in Palapye has donated food hampers amounting at P3 000 to Botswana Civil Service Pensioners Association (BCSPA) for its Serule 60 pensioners workshop today. Receiving the food hampers in Palapye on Monday, Mr Seno Mokhondo appreciated the assistance, saying it would ease feeding of participants.

Mr Mokhondo said Botswana Civil Service Pensioners Association was a Non-government organisation whose objectives were to unite, promote, organise, advocate for and safeguard the interests and welfare of pensioners.

He also said activities of Botswana Civil Service Pensioners Association were intended to maintain their dignity even after active service.

Membership is drawn from former employees of government and the private sector.

He said the aim of the workshop was to form a local branch for Serule area pensioners.

The General Manager for Desert Sands Motel, Mr Umair Khan said giving back to the community was his company’s culture and expressed delight that their assistance came in handy for the benefit of the elderly. ENDS
