The Minister of Health, Dr Edwin Dikoloti, is in Germany for the World Health Summit (WHS).

According to a media statement from the ministry, the minister left over the weekend and is expected back in office on October 24.

The release says the World Health Summit is an annual event that brings together diverse stakeholders including heads of state, ministers, heads of international organisations, parliamentarians, civil society, youth organisations and the private sector.

It says some of the topics to be discussed are health systems resilience and equity, digital transformation for health, food systems and health, investment for health and well-being as well as global health for peace.

It adds that during his absence, Assistant Minister of Health, Mr Sethomo Lelatisitswe will be the acting Minister of Health. BOPA
