October 3 not public holiday - DPSM
27 Sep 2022
The Directorate of Public Service Management (DPSM) has informed government employees that Monday is a normal working day.
DPSM explains in a memo that the decision is in line with Public Service Regulations governing paid public holidays and public holidays in general.
The directorate says a decision has been taken to allow for the release of employees at 1245hrs tomorrow to afford those that will be travelling long distances adequate time to commute.
It advises that in implementing the decision, accounting authorities should ensure that skeletal staff remain to allow minimal disruption to service delivery.
“I wish you and your families a safe, healthy and blessed 56th Botswana Independence Day as we celebrate our nation’s achievements of the past, resilience of the present, and look forward to a transformed and prosperous future,” says the diretorate.ENDS
